What are our different services like?
We offer a range of services, as we seek to provide something for all. Everyone is welcome at all our services, especially families and children.
Book of Common Prayer (BCP) services [1st and 5th Sunday of the month, 9.30am, with Sunday Club; 2nd Sunday 8.00am Holy Communion]
These follow the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording and use traditional hymns with the occasional modern one. On the 1st Sunday of the month it is Holy Communion, on the 5th Sunday it is Morning Prayer. There is no music or Sunday Club at the 8.00 am service.
All Age Worship [2nd Sunday of the month, 9.30am]
This is a less formal and shorter service catering for the whole family. Music includes both traditional and modern hymns and songs and is led from the piano and other instruments.
Common Worship (CW) [3rd & 4th Sunday of the month, 9.30am, with Sunday Club]
This is the modern service book used in the Church of England. At these services both modern and traditional hymns are used led by the organ and choir. On the 3rd Sunday of the month it is Holy Communion, on the 4th Sunday it is Morning Prayer.
S.P.A.C.E. [1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 9.00am]
This is an informal communion service on a Wednesday morning with room for our own thoughts and silent prayers, some brief congregational prayers and Communion, ending by 930am.
Provides a chance for children to take part in their own activities for part of the service, then rejoin the main service towards the end – and show the rest of the congregation what they have been doing.
