Every six years the church Electoral Roll is completely renewed and this is taking place this year. What this means is that even if you are on the existing roll you will need to re-apply.
Being on the Electoral Roll entitles you to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and serve on the PCC and any other committees. It is also an expression of support for your local church, signifies a sense of belonging to the church and a willingness to be part of the church community. The numbers of people on the Roll are used by the Diocese to assess the strength of support for the local church.
You are entitled to have your name on the roll if you are 16 or over, reside in the parish or are regular worshippers in the church.
Everyone who wishes to have their names entered on the new Roll, whether their names are entered on the present Roll or not, are requested to apply for enrolment not later than Friday 29th March. Please see the formal Notice for full details.
You will find a copy of the formal Notice here.
Application Forms can be obtained from Rev Fred Olney, Tony Staples, Mike Cooper, Joanna Beech or John Stansfeld.
You can download a copy of the Form here.
