Affirming our faith together
We believe in God the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.
We believe in God the Son, who lives in our hearts through faith, and fills us with his love.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who strengthens us with power from on high.
We believe in one God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In future weeks we hope to include intercessions prepared by other people… Nevertheless, each time we can all be involved in boldly drawing near to the throne of grace…
Heavenly Father, our ever-present help in trouble, our fortress and our God: calm the anxious fears of all who turn to you; give strength and healing to those who are sick, and courage and skill to those who care for them; grant wisdom and clarity to those in authority; and humble us all to call upon you that we may be saved not only in this life, but also for that which is to come, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
– Pray for your neighbours, lifting them before God by name wherever possible. Ask God to guide you in how best to help them at this time, and ask that his love will reach and captivate them at this time, Ask God to bring opportunities your way to speak through you, and be open to this happening more and more in the days ahead. Pray too for those you know need God’s healing at this time, or who need to know reconciliation with a family member or someone else. Ask for them to know the Lord’s healing hand, and that what is broken may be mended, what has been lost may be restored.
Sovereign Lord, please humble us all under your mighty hand, that we may use the opportunities given to us now for reflection, repentance, and thanksgiving for all the good things you have given us but which we often take for granted. Throughout these strange days, please fix our hearts on heaven and our minds on pleasing you in everything, so that whatever the outcome we may rest secure in Christ, in whose name we pray all these things, Amen.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
We continue in Praise…

Are there 2/3 people in church and in the community that you could commit to praying for regularly? App called PrayerMate or similar, or google 24/7 prayer for ideas…
Be on the lookout for ways that God’s working in our midst. Let’s be quick to notice even the smallest thing, to thank God as soon as we notice these things, and be quick to share these good things with others.
Here’s a few words Izzy from St Mary’s has asked me to share:
Lost and Found Luke 15
I wonder how many of us like surprises
I LOVE surprises but not everybody does especially if it’s more of a shock than a surprise!! Just this week I phoned a dear friend in the village and I promised to send her a CD of worship songs just to cheer her up and give her some encouragement in her isolation.
I found the CD and checked inside to make sure the disc was there. To my utter amazement I discovered a second CD lurking behind the original disc. I have owned that CD for more than 20 years and I never realised until that moment that there was a second CD there.
As you can imagine I played the new disc immediately and the joy of those songs of worship made me realise again how great is our God.
His blessings come to us in amazing ways They are quite literally ‘ new every morning’ so great is His faithfulness.
Sadly I couldn’t tell my neighbours about it, like the woman who lost the coin, or throw a party in these challenging times to celebrate my precious find.
But here’s the thing. Our Lord seeks us out and comes to find us at our point of need. How wonderful is that!!
This coming week:

Watch this space for details of our upcoming Easter services – do pray for wisdom in all the planning and preparation, and that many more people would be drawn to Jesus, the giver of life.
Christ crucified draw you to himself,
to find in him a sure ground for faith,
a firm support for hope,
and the assurance of sins forgiven;
and the blessing of God almighty,
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
fill your hearts and your homes,
this day and always. Amen
