At Frittenden & Sissinghurst Churches we love to welcome children and families to all our regular services and events. You aren’t the church of tomorrow, you’re the church of today!
Every Sunday we have a 10am service which is either for all ages, or has a children’s group and creche provided and alternates between the two churches. So it’s a good idea to check the website or Parish Magazine to see where it is.
You can sign up here for our weekly emails with up to date information about that week’s services. But if you end up getting to us a few minutes late – that’s no problem – come on in…
What to expect when you arrive?
Someone will welcome you at the door, and usually give you a sheet which will tell you what’s happening in the service. Please sit wherever you feel comfortable – if you’re not sure where to sit then do ask and we can lend a hand – and perhaps introduce you to someone nearby.
During the service we fully expect children will move around, and there will be some noise – it’s a wonderful sign of life! Please be relaxed and feel at home – relaxed parents/carers means relaxed youngsters…
We all stay together for the first part of the service, and after a short talk and song geared towards the children, they then head to their group. For babies and toddlers there’s a creche area, or they can stay with you – whichever suits you best.
Near the end of the service the children come back and join us, and sometimes there’s the chance to see what they’ve been learning or making. God is creative and loves us to be creative too!
After the service please stay around for a cuppa – there’s an area set aside for the children’s refreshments, so you can get them to look out for that.
