Welcome

Welcome to the website for St Mary’s Church, Frittenden.

St Mary’s Church is part of the benefice of Sissinghurst with Frittenden. It is in the Weald Deanery of the Archdeaconry of Maidstone, in the Diocese of Canterbury.

We provide a range of services using both traditional and modern forms of worship over a monthly cycle. There is a weekly Sunday Club for children, an active choir and a dedicated team of bellringers.

Services

Morning Prayer – Common Worship

A service using the modern service book used by the Church of England. At these services both modern and traditional hymns are used, led by the organ and the choir.

Holy Communion – Common Worship

The modern service book used by the Church of England. At these services both modern and traditional hymns are used, led by organ and choir.

Holy Communion (BCP)

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording and uses traditional hymns with the occasional modern one, led by the organ and choir.

Holy Communion (BCP)

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording. There is no music or Sunday Club at the 8.00 am service.

All Age Worship – Instant Nativity!

Come dressed as your favourite nativity character….  Mary, Joseph, Angels, Shepherds, Wise Men, animals…. and join the with us to tell the Christmas story.

Youth Club

Messy Church in conjunction with Trinity Church, Sissinghurst

Coffee +

You are warmly invited to our new Coffee + drop in on Monday mornings from 8.40 in our new space in St Mary’s Church. We will be serving coffee plus cake, and providing toys for little ones and room to sit and chat. Do come and join us after dropping children at school and pre school…

Christmas Fayre

The Christmas Fayre is on Saturday 24th November in the Memorial Hall from 12.00 to 4pm. In aid of St Mary’s Church

Come and celebrate the start of Advent

In happy anticipation of the village Advent windows – St Mary’s Church warmly invites you and your family to a workshop to make jam-jar lanterns; a short celebration around the first advent window at the Lych Gate with lanterns lit for carol singing; an seasonal refreshments in church.
