Welcome

Welcome to the new website for St Mary’s Church, Frittenden.

St Mary’s Church is part of the benefice of Sissinghurst with Frittenden. It is in the Weald Deanery of the Archdeaconry of Maidstone, in the Diocese of Canterbury.

We provide a range of services using both traditional and modern forms of worship over a monthly cycle. There is a weekly Sunday Club for children, an active choir and a dedicated team of bellringers.

Come and join us in the church for coffee, cake and chat on a Monday morning after school and pre-school drop off. Every week in term time.

Celebration and Dedication Service

Come and celebrate the dedication of our new facilities by the Bishop of Dover, Rt Rev Trevor Willmott. Do join us for the service and stay for a buffet lunch afterwards.

Deanery Confirmation Service

The Confirmation Service for the Weald Deanery, conducted by the Bishop of Dover, Rt Rev Trevor Willmott.

Holy Communion (BCP)

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording and uses traditional hymns with the occasional modern one, led by the organ and choir.

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording. There is no music or Sunday Club at the 8.00 am service.

All Age Worship

This is a less formal and shorter service catering for the whole family. Music includes both traditional and modern hymns and songs and is led from the piano and other instruments.

Community Songs of Praise

Come and join us for a Harvest Songs of Praise in church at 6pm on Sunday 14th October. Everyone is welcome!

Open Afternoon and Tea with Opening Ceremony

Come and see the new facilities, listen to the Organ being played, have a go at the organ, visit the bell tower, have a go at the bells and join us for refreshments after the official opening at 3pm. 

Coffee +

You are warmly invited to our new Coffee + drop in on Monday mornings from 8.40 in our new space in St Mary’s Church. We will be serving coffee plus cake, and providing toys for little ones and room to sit and chat. Do come and join us after dropping children at school and pre school…
