Welcome

Welcome to the website for St Mary’s Church, Frittenden.

St Mary’s Church is part of the benefice of Sissinghurst with Frittenden. It is in the Weald Deanery of the Archdeaconry of Maidstone, in the Diocese of Canterbury.

We provide a range of services using both traditional and modern forms of worship over a monthly cycle. There is a weekly Sunday Club for children, an active choir and a dedicated team of bellringers.

Services

Morning Prayer – Common Worship

This service follows the modern service book used in the Church of England. At these services both modern and traditional hymns are used led by the organ and choir.    

S.P.A.C.E.

Silence Prayer And Communion Ending by 9:30

Holy Communion (BCP)

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording and uses traditional hymns with the occasional modern one, led by the organ and choir.

Holy Communion (BCP)

This service follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer wording. There is no music or Sunday Club at the 8.00 am service.

All Age Worship

This is a less formal and shorter service catering for the whole family.

Mill Lane Burial Ground Working Party

We will be having a tidy-up session in the Burial Ground, Mill Lane on Saturday 22nd June, starting at 9.00 am.  There are a number of things to do including strimming, weeding, moss removal and sweeping so bring appropriate tools.  We’ll start at 9.00 and continue for much of the morning so come along for whatever time you can spare.
